Youth Event
For those who've commented, thanks guys, good to get feed back, well, good on a blog site not so good at a live gig [Little sound engineering joke there, hummnn, no hum noise is bad too]. Sorry back to this blog.
Ros, progress sort of happening, might be finished soon, measured up and almost ready for work to start. Will be ready for OFFKITCH inspection soon.
Busy weekend again. Large youth event, ‘Fusion’, in Chorley-by-bricks had two bands on, our own Fusion band and Souls Rest a hip-hop band.
This time had the event at ‘Tchorley Little Theatre, technically an easy night as we used the in-house gear, saved my achey brakey back. Had youth from all around the area attend and the Theatre survived quite well.
Only one thing missing, a good pot of tea, so any offers would be gratefully received.Next thing should be an outside broadcast for the Big Switch on of the lights, hoping I can make it in time from work, certainly for some of the interviews, will keep you informed. After that we start outside broadcasting of Carol services around the area, all good stuff. In-between all this might get some work on the house done ready fro the big inspection by OFFKITCH, really looking forward to that, in many ways.Folks take good care, thanks for ploughing through the ramblings of a sound geek.
Ditch the digital, viva le analogue especially video, just a little campaign. Chow folks.

Well I will check in with Sound Control, if it is up to her standards then it is ready for official inspection!!!
Mmm ditch the digital...can't do that, my studio would vanish. Anologue has it's place and some live recordings sound much better with wow and flutter. But Digital studio recordings sound much better with more depth of soundfield and a greater variation on mixing. As video against anything else? I dont have either just Sky Digital and a 100htz TV looks good sounds good so I'm happy.
Yo all you folks up in Chorley Land.
Sounds busy, busy, busy!
Digital/Analogue..........?
100htz..............?
Well, at least I can write about cricket, even if it is in deep MUD ,(sorry other word unprintable!)
And boy oh boy wouldn't Matt have been going on about it!!!
Love you guys, take care up there!
I learned in analogue 1/4" tape and 2" multi-track. Chinagraph and a splicerblade. The last programmes I worked on at Pebble Mill were on NAD cart and 1/4" reels....I have gone to digital its sooooo much easier.
100htz is TV a standard TV is 50htz or 560 lines a 100htz TV is 1000 lines these lines make up the picture the more lines the better the picture and the less flicker.
As for Cricket????? bring on Monty
